Out of luck so far, that does not mean Vincent Janssen’s season at Tottenham cannot be a success.
It is fair to say that Vincent Janssen’s career at Tottenham has not been a success to date – but there is still time for him to become a hero.
Janssen has not scored a single goal in open play all season, in a total of 26 appearances in all competitions.
14 of these games have been starts – but to his credit he has managed to find the net on four occasions from the penalty spot, perhaps keeping his confidence afloat.

As the season enters it’s final few months, now would be the perfect time for Janssen to step up, if he can manage it.
While disappointing so far, Janssen is just one game away from flipping the script on it’s head.
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen in action
If he can make a difference in a huge Premier League game like the one this weekend away to Liverpool, everything could change for the Dutchman.
Should he score a winner or crucial equaliser, it could significantly boost his confidence and see him become a factor for the remainder of the season, rather than a player the club should lose faith in.
The Evening Standard reported this week Janssen is a target for both Wolfsburg and Galatasaray, and if his barren run continues until the end of the season, Tottenham could have a decision to make whether to cash in.
Janssen has a chance to change this, and it could all reverse so quickly, starting this weekend at Anfield.
