Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has criticised his own game and questioned whether he can be more creative for his team.

The England captain is more known for putting the ball into the back of the net, but he stated that he ‘can improve’ his game, as he was seemingly hinting towards his lack of assists.

In 10 games in all competitions for Spurs, Kane has found the back of the net on seven occasions, but perhaps to his disappointment, he only has one assist to his name [transfermarkt].

Ahead of England’s Euro 2020 qualifier in Bulgaria on Monday night, Kane shared what he thinks about when he hasn’t played well.

“It’s great to be scoring goals but even better to be winning games,” Kane told The Mirror. “Whenever we lose or I feel I haven’t played well, I look back on my game and see what I could have done better.

“I still feel I can improve. I am scoring goals but can I get more assists, create more chances? So yeah, I always look at little things I can get better at.”

In seasons gone by, Kane has proven that when he is fully fit and able to play more than 85% of Premier League games then the Golden Boot is usually his.

But in recent seasons, injuries have let him down, which has meant that he hasn’t truly been able to match the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane for that top goalscoring prize.

That will still be his goal from an individual perspective at the end of the season, but there’s no doubt that he is very determined to showcase his creative worth too.
