Tottenham Hotspur kept their title hopes alive with a huge three points against Arsenal on Sunday.

Spurs star Victor Wanyama spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb win over Arsenal on Sunday, and shared how the Gunners were lucky in the sense that Mousa Dembele did not start the game, because it could have been a lot worse for them had the Belgian been present from the first whistle, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Kenyan midfield destroyer has proven to be a wonderful acquisition for Tottenham this season, following his £11 million move from Southampton in the summer of 2016, and he has provided the already strong Spurs defence with another level of protection.
The 25-year-old has formed a formidable partnership with Dembele at the base of the Lilywhites’ midfield, but the former Fulham man did not start the game on Sunday due to a minor knock he picked up in midweek. He eventually came on with around 10 minutes still to play, and helped his side see the game out.
And Wanyama told reporters how things could have been a lot worse for Arsene Wenger’s men, had the 29-year-old Belgium international started from the kick-off, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“Mousa is a good player. I think they are lucky that Mousa was not there because if Mousa was there it would be different – it could have been even better! But congratulations to everyone today for putting on a good performance and showing that we can fight and show good spirit.”
Now the north London derby has been and gone, Tottenham must focus on wining their remaining four games, and if they manage to do that, they still have an outside chance of overhauling Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.
