Spurs star Son Heung-min sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared how hungry his teammates are for success.
Tottenham enjoyed a relatively successful 2016/17 Premier League campaign, despite their ultimate failure in chasing down Chelsea for the title.
Son himself enjoyed an extremely productive campaign, scoring 14 goals and chipping in with six assists in 34 Premier League outings for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
And the South Korean told TottenhamHotspur.com how his teammates’ desire and hunger shines through during training on a daily basis, whilst admitting that they still have a lot to learn:

“We have many, many things we have to learn. We’ve had some great games and we’ve had some not so good performances for the team or for myself as well – we have to learn from this. We are still a young team and we are hungry. I can see in every training session everyone is hungry and this is very important for our future.”
Pochettino will be looking to supplement what is already a very strong group of players by making some stellar signings this summer, and if he manages to acquire two or three top quality additions, they will have every chance of going one step further next season.

The Argentine deserves so much credit for the manner in which he has galvanised the Lilywhites squad since his appointment as manager in 2014. He is obviously an extremely likeable character, but at the same time commands respect from his players, and the mentality he has instilled into his group must go down as a major factor behind their success.
Ultimately though, he will be judged on his ability to guide his side to glory, both domestically and on the continent, and from that perspective, the jury is still very much out on this talented group of Tottenham players.
