Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has given an interview ahead of their weekend game against Manchester United.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur take on Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday knowing that a win will keep them in the top four in the Premier League.

Ten Hag is under increasing pressure at United with the Old Trafford club suffering 14 defeats this season in all competitions after last campaign was such a success for the Red Devils.

A win for Spurs would compound the misery for United and one Tottenham player, in particular, has found his groove after a tough year at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Richarlison on being happy at Tottenham

Brought to London under Antonio Conte, the £60 million signing of Brazilian forward Richarlison was seen as a real coup for the North London club.

However, the Brazilian forward really struggled last campaign with just one goal and three assists from 27 Premier League games but this season he has finally shown what he is about.

With seven goals and three assists in the league this season, the former Everton forward is finally showing fans what he is about and speaking to ESPN, he has spoken about his happiness at Tottenham.

“I think the main thing is happiness. I think I managed to find my happiness again,” he said. “I was feeling a little down, sad… I wasn’t the Richarlison that everyone knew.

“Even training was different. So, I think I managed to find that again, that hope that I had. This joy that I have inside me. So, that was the most important thing I managed to win back.”

Richarlison’s promising season

With Harry Kane leaving Tottenham for a move to German giants Bayern Munich, the other attackers in the Spurs team have had to step up and Richarlison looks to be doing that.

Heung-Min Son has stepped up for the London club too but the Brazilian forward performing at the level he is has been a massive boost for Spurs.

A win for the London club at Old Trafford this weekend would continue the feel-good factor for Spurs and a goal for Richarlison would also continue his promising turnaround at the club.
