Tottenham star Harry Kane has responded when asked by Tim Sherwood if he is going “soft”, after Sherwood spotted Kane wearing a snood, gloves and a hat during his warm-up on Monday night – to which Kane said he has a “virus”.
Kane, 29, scored the only goal of the game on Monday night as Spurs secured a crucial win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. Picking up a pass on the edge of the area, Kane turned inside before curling a low shot past Bernd Leno.
It was Kane’s 16th goal of the Premier League campaign, in his 21st outing. He now has 18 goals for the entire season. The goal saw Kane break another record – becoming the first player to equal Jimmy Greaves’ Spurs record of 266 goals.
Kane lasted the entire game, despite Antonio Conte saying he is suffering with a fever. Asked by Sherwood after the game on the Premier League’s coverage of the match, if he is going soft – Kane responded by saying he is unwell.

Sherwood asked: “Warming up, you had the hat on, snood, gloves, are you going soft or are you not well? Kane responded: “I had a terrible night’s sleep if I’m honest. I’ve got some sort of virus but thankfully I got through today”.
Kane responds when Sherwood asks if Tottenham star is going soft
In what was a bit of a strange interview, Sherwood threw it on Kane regarding his future – to which Kane said he is happy, but will “see what happens”. Kane combated his old manager’s questions well, confirming what Conte had said.
Indeed, Kane has been suffering with illness and to have played right up until the 96th minute before the final whistle went, it was testament to his work rate and commitment to Spurs. So, much the opposite, Kane is not going “soft”.
