Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has brushed off comments from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp about a potential replay.

Jurgen Klopp may believe that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool should replay their controversial game, but Dejan Kulusevski doesn’t agree.

We are now more than two weeks on from the most contentious game of the Premier League season so far.

Tottenham Hotspur beat Liverpool 2-1 at the end of September but that doesn’t even begin to tell the story of a controversial clash.

Curtis Jones was given a straight red card in the first half before Diogo Jota picked up a red card of his own after the break.

The biggest moment came with Luis Diaz scoring a perfectly legitimate goal, only for a VAR communication breakdown to rule the goal out.

Tottenham went on to win with Joel Matip burying a late own goal, sparking wild scenes in North London and anger on Merseyside.

Dejan Kulusevski reacts to Jurgen Klopp comments

The fallout is just about dying down now but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp certainly stoked the fires before the international break.

Klopp told Sky Sports almost two weeks ago that he felt the only sensible outcome was for a complete replay of the game.

Klopp accepted that not everybody would agree, but felt that it was the only move to ensure sporting integrity after Liverpool were effectively robbed.

There has been no word from The FA or the Premier League but it’s unlikely that we see a total replay of the game.

Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski has now offered his reaction whilst speaking to Fotbollskanalen over in his native Sweden during the international break.

Kulusevski noted that he doesn’t think anything will happen in terms of a replay, believing that mistakes simply happen all the time.

The Swede did accept the amount of mistakes made by officials right now is ‘absolutely insane’ and can understand Liverpool’s anger.

Kulusevski just can’t see any precedent for a replay and believes that Tottenham were ‘really good’ during the game despite Liverpool making life very difficult.

“I don’t think anything will happen,” said Kulusevski. “Mistakes happen in every game. It was just a mistake and they were very angry that they got zero points even though they played a good game, and I understand them. That (that a match is replayed due to a ruling) has probably never happened and I don’t think it will happen.”

“There are so many mistakes every match, it’s absolutely insane. Sure, it was a big mistake in a top game and they were obviously very disappointed because it affected the game. But I can find mistakes in every match. So it’s part of the game and you move on.”

“We were really good. We played really well when it was eleven against eleven. Then they got a lot better when they got a man sent off and we got a little worse. Then they got another man sent off. Both red cards were fair, 100 percent. Then we had a hard time scoring a goal and in the last second they scored an own goal. It was incredibly heavy for Liverpool and really important for us,” he added.
