Spurs star Dele Alli sat down for an exclusive interview with Four Four Two, and opened up on his relationship with Mauricio Pochettino, sharing how the Argentine is not adverse to showing his ‘nasty streak’ if needed.
Tottenham have enjoyed a successful season thus far, and currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, just four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
Pochettino deserves great credit for how he has managed to transform the Lilywhites from mere also rans into perennial Premier League title contenders in a matter of just under three years.
A key contributing factor behind his success is the way in which he manages to motivate his relatively small group of players.

“He can switch. You don’t want to get on the wrong side of him. He’s showed me and Eric [Dier] clips of him when he was playing at Espanyol: some were of him scoring goals, some others were of him clattering people. He is relaxed, but if you’re not putting in the work, or if your attitude isn’t quite right, then he’ll tell you about it.”
With Tottenham set to move into their new 61,000 capacity stadium for the start of the 2018/19 season, they are heading into a new era of what their fans hope will be deeply entrenched in success.
Pochettino has laid the ground work, that is for sure, and now he has to carry his vision through, by translating all of his side’s hard work and progression into major trophies.
