Sissoko has been a revelation for Spurs of late, after a disappointing start.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko was asked in a Q&A session on his Instagram story what he thinks 2019 has in store for him, and he told fans that it is a “secret”.
Sissoko, 29, has been in fantastic form for Tottenham this season after Mauricio Pochettino decided to push him into central midfield rather than playing him out wide.
Signed from Newcastle in the summer of 2016, the France international had struggled during his first two seasons in north London but has finally begun to show why Spurs splashed out £30million (Standard) to land him.
Sissoko responded to a question posed by a fan on his Instagram story over the weekend, who asked what he believes 2019 holds for him. The midfielder said: “Trophies with Spurs, the rest I keep it secret”.
During his difficult first couple of seasons at Spurs, Sissoko had been linked with moves elsewhere but has chosen to remain with Pochettino’s side. He has a contract at Spurs until the summer of 2021.
The former Toulouse ace has started 13 of Spurs’ last 14 Premier League outings and is becoming an important fixture in Pochettino’s side. He is expected to continue that record on Tuesday night, when Spurs take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
