Tottenham Hotspur were beaten Champions League finalists on Saturday.

Lucas Moura was left feeling philosophical after Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League final defeat by Liverpool.
Mauricio Pochettino remains trophy-less as Tottenham manager after losing 2-0 to the Reds in Madrid last night.
The Argentine, who moved to North London five years ago, made a controversial decision to start Harry Kane – who hadn’t played in nearly two months – up front ahead of Lucas, who scored the second-half hat-trick against Ajax which resulted in Spurs advancing into the final in the first place.
The Brazil international came on after 66 minutes but was unable to reproduce his heroics from Amsterdam.
Despite quite a high-profile snub, there wasn’t a shred of animosity in Lucas’s post-match message on Instagram.
It would’ve been a surprise had he hit out at Pochettino, because the Argentine has done a very good job of building a squad with ego-less players, but he must be disappointed nonetheless.
Given how poor Liverpool were, maybe the former Paris Saint-Germain winger might’ve hurt Jurgen Klopp’s side more than Kane, who barely had a sniff in 90 minutes, but hindsight is a great thing.
