Tottenham ace compares Dele Alli with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has praised Dele Alli’s brace at the weekend and compares the scrutiny he faces to Paul Pogba’s.
Pogba is a teammate of Lloris for France, and the goalkeeper feels the Manchester United ace is scrutinised excessively.
Lloris told The Guardian: “He is still young but has a big personality. To react in that way is fantastic. It is not easy for him, or for people like Paul Pogba with France, because you need to give time to them to get to the right age, to mature.
“There is a lot of expectation but he stays calm and good in his mind.”
Alli made his international debut against Pogba’s France in 2015, and scored a memorable long range goal past Lloris.
While Alli and Pogba have similarities in terms of the burden placed upon them, their clubs signed them for very different fees.
United paid Juventus £89 million to sign Pogba, with the Frenchman a multiple time Serie A champion.
Alli was signed by Spurs from MK Dons for just £5 million, which already looks to be one of the best deals of the decade.

Alli has played in 10 games more than Pogba this season in the Premier League, and the duo are level on nine assists.
But the Spurs midfielder’s brace at the weekend moves his goals scored further ahead of Pogba.
Pogba has received plenty of criticism over the past few months, and Lloris’ comparison is wise.
He will be needed to respond in the same way Alli did at the weekend when United take on Manchester City in a bid to delay their title coronation.
