Tottenham Hotspur will face Borussia Dortmund in the first knock-out stage of the Champions League.

Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur celebrates after Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur scored their sides second goal during the UEFA Champions League...

Tottenham star Heung-Min Son spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after drawing Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the Champions League, and claimed that he had a feeling that his side would draw the Germans.

Spurs and Dortmund will be a really intriguing tie, and it could be argued that the two sides are currently playing some of the best football in Europe.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have really impressed this term, and they are still in contention to win all four trophies.

Tottenham will surely have to win a major trophy sooner rather than later, if they are to be considered as a great team.

If they are to win the Champions League, they will obviously have to play to their full potential.

Progressing though against Dortmund would be a great achievement in itself, and Heung-Min Son suggested that it is a great draw for his team, as quoted by the club’s official website:

Mauricio Pochettino, Manager of Tottenham Hotspur greets Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur as Heung-Min Son is substituted off during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur...

“The players were talking about who we might draw before training. I had a feeling we’d get Dortmund. I think it’s a good draw. It’s a difficult opponent but I think we can win this game. We have good memories from last season’s Champions League campaign and we will face them with positive energy.”

Son has a fine record against Dortmund, scoring eight times in 10 matches against the Bundesliga outfit.

And Tottenham fans will be hoping that the South Korean improves further still on that fine record when their side face the Germans in two months time.
