Spurs star Christian Eriksen has been criticised by fans and pundits alike this season, for his failure to have a defining impact on big games, but it is arguable that he has been treated unfairly, after racking up five goals and five assists in 17 Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far this term.

The Dane moved to White Hart Lane in August 2013, and since that time, he stands head and shoulders above every other Premier League player in one category in particular, according to football statistics website WhoScored.com.
The 24-year-old former Ajax man has scored more goals from outside the box in England’s top flight than any other player, with his impressive tally of 10 putting him ahead of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho with nine, according to WhoScored.com, who posted the below tweet to their official Twitter page:
Spurs fans will be hoping that Eriksen can continue his fine form on the whole, but raise his levels when their side comes up against any of the teams in and around them in the table.
