Tottenham star Harry Winks spoke exclusively to the club’s official website about his side’s upcoming clash with Borussia Dortmund in the next round of the Champions League, and shared how he has been speaking to BVB ace Jadon Sancho on a regular basis recently.

Dortmund are currently flying in the Bundesliga, and sit comfortably at the top of the table, nine points clear of Bayern Munich, and they will represent a real test for Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in fine form themselves, however, and currently sit in third spot in the table, six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

There is still a long way to go before the two sides meet in the last 16 of Europe’s premier competition, however, and a lot can change between now and February.

Tottenham midfielder Winks spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared what Jadon Sancho has been telling him about Dortmund’s season thus far:

“We played them last season – they were a top side and I remember the atmosphere out there was something I’d never really experienced. They have been doing really well in the league this year. I’ve been speaking to Jadon Sancho and he’s been telling me what kind of side they are and how well they’re doing. They are a side we have to treat carefully and prepare well for as they are going to be a very dangerous team to play against, especially at their place. It’s a good opportunity for us to progress. It’s the Champions League and if you want to win it, you have to beat the best teams.”

Dortmund have a frightening attacking line-up with the likes of Sancho, Marco Reus, Christian Pulisic, Mario Götze and Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Tottenham will obviously have to be at their very best, if they are to beat the Germans, and the last 16 tie should be an incredibly exciting one to watch for the neutrals.
