Tottenham Hotspur failed to strengthen in the summer.

Tottenham star Harry Kane spoke to reporters about his side’s lack of transfer activity this summer, and insisted that they are still in great shape heading into the new season because of the understanding that the players currently have with each other, as quoted by ESPN.
Spurs have begun their 2018/19 Premier League campaign in fine fashion, winning both of their opening two games, and the doom and gloom that was enveloping the club during the summer months is slowly beginning to dissipate.
There is still plenty of work left to be done, however, and considering the troubles that Tottenham are going through with their new stadium, finishing inside the top four will surely be seen as a great achievement for Pochettino’s men this season.
Kane, 25, spoke to reporters about the fact that Spurs failed to sign a single player this summer, and insisted that his side are still in great shape to win major honours this season, as quoted by ESPN:

“With the transfer window, I think the gaffer said we’re not going to buy players for the sake of it, we’re only going to buy players to strengthen. Obviously in this market they didn’t think that was an option. We’ve got a great squad. We’ve kept a lot of our top players, which is important. We’ve been playing now for a few years together and that’s the understanding you need.”
Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Manchester United, and a win at Old Trafford for Poch’s side really would silence the critics.
