The Tottenham Hotspur ace will be leading the line for England at the World Cup in Russia this summer.

Tottenham star Harry Kane questioned the mentality of England fans, when speaking to reporters, suggesting that they are almost waiting for the players to fail, as quoted by Sky Sports.
The Three Lions head into this summer’s World Cup having topped their qualifying group, but suggesting that they are not favoured in Russia would be an understatement.

England fans have become accustomed to seeing their country fail in major competitions throughout the years, and they have not made it to semi-final of either the World Cup or the European Championships since 1996.
Kane will be hoping to help his side end that poor record this summer, however.
The 24-year-old spoke to reporters, and questioned the mentality of the England fans, suggesting that they are almost waiting for their team to fail, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“It is strange, I think it is a mentality thing. It is easier these days to maybe banter England players or take the mick out of England players, if we don’t do well in the World Cup it’s, ‘Oh we told you so’. It’s maybe a weaker mentality, but it is what it is, as a team we are focused on what we need to do. We have got to go with a mindset and a belief that we can win, we try and win everything we do and the World Cup is no different.”
Kane still has three Premier League games with Spurs to focus on, before he can set his sights on firing England to World Cup glory.
For the first time in a very long time, however, England fans are not expecting very much from their side in Russia, and that might just work in the Three Lions’ favour.
