Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier seems to rate Michael Carrick of Manchester United highly.

Dier, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, plays with Carrick for the England national football team.
The 36-year-old started his professional club football career at West Ham United before making the move to Tottenham in 2004.

United signed Carrick from Spurs in the summer of 2006 for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13 million.
Dier, 24, moved to Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4m.
“I was lucky enough to train a couple of times with him with England and I thought he was just incredible,” Dier told The Times about Carrick.

Underrated
Carrick, who will retire at the end of the season according to United manager Jose Mourinho, is a very underrated player, but it is great to see Dier speak highly of him.
A very good passer of the ball, the 36-year-old has been a consistent presence in the United midfield for years.
England fans will hope that Dier can do a similar job for the Three Lions consistently
