Tottenham currently sit third in the Premier League behind Manchester United and Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur’s utility man Eric Dier has told Sky Sports that he is confident his side are still firmly a contender in the Premier League title race, despite Manchester City sitting eight points in front.
The 23-year-old, who can play at right-back, centre-back or in the central midfield, has been one of the crucial components of Spurs’ excellent form of late.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won eight of their last 11 league and cup outings, including victories against Real Madrid, Liverpool and most recently Crystal Palace, where Dier stood out as one of the best performers on the pitch.

The former Sporting Lisbon star, who is currently with England as they prepare to face Germany and Brazil over the international break, described rivals Man City as “fantastic” but is confident there will be “twists and turns” until the last.
“The games we have had in the last month have been really good and the results have been very positive”, Dier said.
“Obviously, Manchester City have been fantastic recently but there is so much football to be played before the end. I’m sure there are going to be lots of twists and turns before the end.”

Dier has made 17 appearances for the north Londoners this season in all competitions, helping Spurs keep eight clean sheets. His form has been mirrored on the international scene, too, scoring in a 2-1 win over Slovakia.
Now, the Spurs ace is expected to feature in both England friendlies against Germany and Brazil after central midfielders Dele Alli, Jordan Henderson, Harry Winks and Fabian Delph all dropped out.
