The Tottenham Hotspur manager has taken the club to an entirely new level.

Spurs star Dele Alli sat down for an exclusive interview with popular football magazine Four Four Two, and opened up on Mauricio Pochettino’s use of video analysis during the half-time break of games.
Tottenham currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, just four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, and look to be gaining strength and confidence with each week that passes.
The Lilywhites often seem to come on strong during the second half of games, and Pochettino’s influence during half-time team talks cannot be underestimated.
Alli told Four Four Two how the Argentine favours a modern approach, when speaking to his players during the half-time interval:
“At half-time he shows us clips from the first half and tells us what we need to be doing. Or, if there’s something we’re going to change, he’ll show us a couple of clips to highlight that. That eye for detail definitely gives you confidence. When we are trying something new, you know it’s not just something he’s picked out of thin air. It’s something he has planned and thinks is going to work. But if it doesn’t, he’s still going to have a backup plan.”

Pochettino, 45, has taken Spurs to a whole new level since his appointment as manager in 2014, and he is certainly from the new school of young and exciting coaches. His methods have obviously paid dividends, and the next challenge for him will be to guide his side to some major trophies over the coming years.
Next up on the agenda for Tottenham, however, is the small matter of a North London Derby, when they play host to Arsenal on Sunday, and three points will be vital to their hopes of catching Chelsea at the top of the table.
