Spurs star Dele Alli sat down for an exclusive interview with popular football magazine Four Four Two, and opened up on how his confidence levels were lower than they had been before, heading into the start of this season’s Premier League campaign.
The 20-year-old has gone on to enjoy a spectacular season with Tottenham, however, scoring 20 goals in 44 appearances for his club in all competitions thus far, helping them climb to second place in the table, with just four points currently separating them and league leaders Chelsea.
It is remarkable to think that he was playing League One football with MK Dons just two years ago.
And despite Alli’s sensational form for the Lilywhites this term, he admitted that he entered the season very low on confidence, when speaking exclusively to Four Four Two magazine:

“With the way the Euros ended, my confidence wasn’t quite as high as it was the season before. During the time we were there, I got to know the boys a lot more and everyone got on well. It was a good trip. But what happened at the end just ruined everything.”
Mauricio Pochettino’s men face a hugely important game away to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, and will need a victory to keep the pressure up on the Blues ahead of them in the table.
They will, most likely, have to win their remaining six games if they are to have any chance whatsoever of usurping Antonio Conte’s men, and Alli will have to be at his very best if they are to do just that.
