The Tottenham Hotspur ace has made just 11 starts this season.

Tottenham star Danny Rose spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with Juventus tonight, and made the bold claim that he is fit enough to play for any other team in the Premier League, but not quite at the level expected from Mauricio Pochettino, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs currently sit in fourth position in the Premier League table, and are in a good position from which to progress through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and Pochettino has earned rave reviews for the manner in which he has his side playing.

The Lilywhites have not lost a game in all competitions since December 16th, and their intensity levels have been second to none throughout that period.

Rose, who has been in and out of the Tottenham team all season, spoke to reporters, and shared an interesting insight on just how much his manager expects of the players, as quoted by Football.London:

“I’d say I’m probably match fit for any other team in the league, but still not quite where I need to be and where I’d like to be for this team. Being match fit isn’t good enough here, you have to be exceptionally fit for the way we like to play and I was close to that before my last setback. It’s probably going to take another couple of matches now to get me back to where I was.”

Rose faces stiff competition for the left-back spot at Spurs in the shape of Ben Davies, and if he is to earn a regular starting spot in the side, he will have to first and foremost prove his fitness to his highly demanding manager.
