Tottenham Hotspur face Chelsea this weekend hoping to erase miserable memories from last season.
The 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge ended Tottenham’s title challenge and sealed the Premier League trophy for surprise champions Leicester City.
Left-back Danny Rose has been reliving the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ as it has since been dubbed, thanks to tempers boiling over late in the game and at the final whistle.
While Spurs players were displaying their anger and frustration on the pitch at letting a lead slip to draw 2-2, in the dressing room the atmosphere was more sombre.
Rose told The Mirror: “The feeling after that Chelsea game last season is one that I never want to feel again.
“There were people upset, crying in the changing room after that game.
“It’s a feeling that we never want to feel again as a football club. I hope everyone has learned from that and we are going to try and push on this season.”

Rose knows Tottenham are in for a crucial week, facing Monaco in the Champions League tonight knowing a defeat could put them out of the competition already.
At the weekend Spurs visit Chelsea, and while they already have all the motivation they need to get revenge, it will be a lot easier to exact their gameplan if they are not dealing with the depressing reality of Champions League elimination.
