Christian Eriksen has been discussing his good understanding on the pitch with Middlesbrough’s Viktor Fischer.
Speaking to Denmark’s BT, Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has stated that he works well on the pitch with Middlesbrough attacker Viktor Fischer, his international colleague.
Denmark kicked off their 2018 World Cup qualification campaign with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Armenia at the Telia Parken in Copenhagen and the man who made the key difference for the Danes during the encounter was Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen scored the only goal of the game with a well taken finish but a lot of credit must also be handed to Middlesbrough attacker Victor Fischer for setting up his compatriot with a delightful back heel assist.
The goal was clearly very well worked and following the game, Eriksen revealed that he had practiced the move with Fischer during the warm-up before revealing that he shares a good understanding on the pitch with the 22-year-old.
The Tottenham man was quoted saying by BT: “During the warm-up, we’d done it three times, and it was very nice that we have succeeded in the match where it mattered.
“Viktor and I have played together for Ajax, and we know each other’s patterns. We communicate well and we understand each other well on the field.”
Denmark now face Poland and Montenegro as part of their World Cup qualifiers next month and manager Age Hareide will surely be hopeful that the duo of Eriksen and Fischer will be able to continue their good form for the national team.
