Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen sat down for an exclusive interview with Danish media outlet BT, and insisted that he is currently happy in north London, sharing his belief that he can win major trophies with Spurs.

The Denmark international joined the Lilywhites from Ajax in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £12.5 million, and he has proven himself to be a wonderful signing for the club.

In 217 appearances for Tottenham, the 26-year-old has chalked up an impressive 53 goals and 66 assists, and he has established himself as one of his club’s most important players in the process.

Unfortunately for Spurs, though, his fine performances have not gone unnoticed.

According to the Sun, Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested in acquiring Erisken’s services in the summer.

The Dane stated that he is happy at Tottenham, though, when speaking exclusively to Danish publication BT, whilst insisting that he is in the right place to fulfil his ambitions:

“To be honest, I do not think about [interest from elsewhere]. Right now, most people are very happy at Tottenham and I am also. All footballers would like to win the Premier League or the Champions League or FA Cup. I think most people just want to win some trophies. We have been close to in the last couple of seasons. Yes, [I can win trophies with Spurs]. If you think where Tottenham was when I came to where we are now. Now people look at us as title candidates whereas previously we had to fight to get into the top four and even the top six. We may have to build and build to become capable of winning a trophy but we are on the way the right track.”

The Lilywhites still have a lot to play for this season, and if Eriksen maintains his fine form, they will have a great chance of achieving success this term.
