Arsenal outfought and outplayed Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates yesterday.

Tottenham defender Ben Davies spoke to reporters after his side’s disappointing 4-2 defeat to Arsenal yesterday, and shared what made the loss so difficult to stomach for him and his teammates, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Spurs arguably put in their worst performance of the season yesterday against the Gunners and it couldn’t have come at a worst time for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with their bitter rivals securing the bragging rights until the two sides meet again.
The Lilywhites actually led at half-time at the Emirates, despite the fact that they were by far second best for the majority of the half, but they were made to pay in the second period, with Arsenal ended up worth winners.
Davies told reporters how losing so emphatically, having got themselves back in the game was a particularly bitter pill to swallow for him and his Tottenham teammates, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“They came out of the blocks, but we had a really good go and got back into the game. That’s why it’s so disappointing we let it slip.”
Tottenham must forget yesterday’s performance and result as quickly as possible, and they have a great chance to bounce back immediately with a home game against Southampton to come on Wednesday night.
