Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose has urged his side to improve over the second half of the season.
Speaking to reporters last night, Spurs left-back Danny Rose admitted that his side are only playing to around 60 per cent of their potential, but was adamant that they will improve in the second half of the season, as quoted by ESPN.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have had to endure a difficult last two months, but seem to have their season back on track now, after racking up three wins from their last four outings in all competitions.
They now sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

And Rose tried to put a positive spin on their season by suggesting that they are still in the mix for the Champions League spots, despite not being at their best for the majority of the campaign, as quoted by ESPN:
“It’s fair to say we’re probably still in third gear compared to last season. Hopefully once the New Year comes we can push on. I’ve no idea why we haven’t hit those heights yet. We know that is the case, though, and I think that’s a positive. We’re still in the park and we’re probably only playing 60 percent. It’s a good position we’re in. Man City or Arsenal are going to drop points at the weekend, and hopefully we can capitalise on that.”

Spurs face another home game on Saturday, when they welcome Burnley to White Hart Lane, before a Boxing Day trip to St Mary’s to take on Southampton.
And if they can embark on a winning run, as they did this time last year, they will by no means be out of the title race.
