Juan Foyth has had a low key first season at Tottenham Hotspur.

No Tottenham player will have been more disappointed with Mauricio Pochettino’s team selection at the weekend than Juan Foyth.
The promising Argentine centre-back is merely a back-up for Spurs at present, with his appearances coming in cup competitions.
He helped Tottenham past Newport and Rochdale in previous rounds of the FA Cup, but Pochettino left him on the bench fot the quarter-final against Swansea.
He could have few complaints as Spurs kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win, but his chances of playing in the semi-final against Manchester United look slim, especially with Toby Alderweireld set to return.
With that in mind, Foyth’s debut season at Tottenham could be over already.

He is only selected to play when Tottenham have nothing at stake or are heavy favourites, with Mauricio Pochettino still mindful of the young Argentine’s need to adapt to English football.
Foyth’s only chance of action between now and pre-season barring a severe injury crisis will come if his teammates can step up and secure a top four spot with games to spare.
Tottenham have eight Premier League games remaining and sit in fourth place, five points ahead of Chelsea.
If Spurs can lock up a top four spot with a game or two to spare, then Foyth could get a chance in the Premier League, especially if Tottenham reach the FA Cup final and want to rotate their players.
For his season to continue, he needs his teammates to step up.
