The Barcelona ace would be an exceptional signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Mauricio Pochettino has a lot fo work to do at Tottenham during the summer transfer window, if he is to build a squad who are capable of making the jump up to the next level.

One interesting option for the Argentine could be Barcelona’s Rafinha, who is currently on loan in Serie A with Inter Milan.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, the Brazilian is determined to leave the Camp Nou this summer in search of more regular first-team action, and whilst Inter are keen on signing him permanently, there is no deal in place as yet.

Rafinha of FC Barcelona celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Granada CF at Camp Nou stadium on October 29, 2016 in Barcelona, Spain.

Rafinha, 25, is an incredibly versatile player, and can play anywhere along the frontline, as well as in midfield.

The Brazil international possesses exceptional technical ability, and his experience of playing at the very highest level for so long could prove to be invaluable for Spurs as they look to break their 10-year trophy duck.

Rafinha has a release clause inserted into his contract with Barca worth €35 million (£30.8 million), and Calcio Mercato claim that Inter cannot afford that amount, which represents a fantastic opportunity for Tottenham to nip in and steal the 25-year-old from under the Italian side’s nose.

The talented play-maker possesses the kind of ability that could help take Spurs to the next level, and if Pochettino does in fact manage to bring him to north London in the summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Tottenham.
