Both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have been linked with a move for the young German.

According to Sport Bild, both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jann-Fiete Arp, but the teenager would be at risk of following in the footsteps of Kelechi Iheanacho if he opted for the Etihad Stadium.
City have one of the best academies in Europe right now, and are producing exciting young talent at an impressive rate. The problem comes when they are ready for first-team football and their path is blocked by a raft of big-name stars.

Iheanacho found that out during his time in Manchester, ultimately cast aside despite an outstanding return of 21 goals and eight assists despite rarely starting for Pep Guardiola’s team.
At 17, Arp will know his next move could define his career and he will want to join a club where first-team chances are plentiful, not few and far between.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has no qualms giving youth a chance and watching it blossom, and he has been rewarded with some outstanding performances from the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and, most recently, Harry Winks.
Arp could follow in their footsteps if he moved to Tottenham, potentially allowing him to flourish in a way that Iheanacho – for all his undeniable talent – could not at City.
