The Manchester United ace could fulfil his potential at Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window, but it could be argued that his team have actually improved this season.

They currently sit in third spot in the table, just six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, and it seems as though they could mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The problem for Spurs is that if they are to improve their starting XI, they will need to spend some serious cash – something that they quite simply haven’t got, what with their expensive move to their new home on the horizon.

Should an opportunity present itself, however, Poch must act.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial seems to be regressing under Jose Mourinho, and Pochettino should swoop in and save him from his Old Trafford nightmare,

His contract with United is due to expire in the summer, so Spurs could secure themselves a cut price deal for him in January.

The 23-year-old is blisteringly quick, and might just flourish under the Argentine, what with his excellent man-management skills.

It could be argued that United would not entertain selling Martial to Tottenham, but Poch could tempt them into doing business by offering Toby Alerweireld in return.

Anthony Martial of Manchester United warms up prior to the Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal FC at Old Trafford on December 5, 2018 in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The Belgian looks almost certain to leave north London in the summer, so moving him on now, in exchange for Martial might just be the ideal solution for all parties involved.

The Frenchman can play anywhere along the front-line, and would offer Poch something entirely different in the final third.

Tottenham are a very good side at this moment in time, but signing Martial could very well turn them into a great side.

The Manchester United ace would give Spurs one of the scariest tracks in Europe, and Pochettino should do everything in his power to bring the 23-year-old to north London.
