The Barcelona defender would be an excellent addition for Tottenham Hotspur.

One area where Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to strengthen is his central defensive department, with Toby Alderweireld likely to leave this summer and Jan Vertonghen on the wrong side of 32.
And with this in mind, Spurs surely must move for Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti, who is available for transfer this summer, according to Spanish media outlet Sport.
The France international has fallen out of favour under Ernesto Valverde at the Camp Nou this season, having been overtaken by Clement Lenglet in the central defensive pecking order.
The 25-year-old is still a world class defender, however, and he would be a great asset for Tottenham.
Umtiti is a powerful defender and is very strong in the air. He is also quick along the ground, and extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Spurs are well-renowned for playing out from the back, so the Frenchman would be perfect for the north London club.
The Sun claims that Umtiti will be available for just £30 million this summer, and in today’s market, that would represent an absolute steal for Tottenham.
It seems to be an opportunity that Pochettino cannot afford to miss out on, especially if Alderweireld is sold this summer, and the Argentine must do everything within his power to bring the Barcelona ace to Tottenham.
Spurs must act fast, however, as there will surely be a clamour for Umtiti’s signature this summer.
