With Tottenham losing out on Juan Foyth to PSG, they should attempt to sign 21-year-old defender Presnel Kimpembe, who could be edged out by the Argentine.
When Barcelona visited the Parc des Princes for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, the prolific trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar would have undoubtedly had a smirk on their face reading the name of the 21-year-old defender Presnel Kimpembe on the opponent’s team sheet.
As it turned out, the left-footed centerback had the last laugh.

The Sun has credited Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton for interest in the centerback, who made 19 starts in the League for PSG last season.
With Sky Sports reporting that Tottenham had to cool their interest in Estudiantes centerback Juan Foyth due to PSG outbidding the London club, Spurs should look to sign the highly rated Presnel Kimpembe from the Ligue 1 runners up.
The French side have an established first choice centerback partnership of Marquinhos and Thiago Silva, and chances might be limited for the France U-21 international for the upcoming season especially with Juan Foyth adding to the competition.
With Jan Vertonhen turning 30, he might not be able to able to play 60 games a season (if Spurs reach the last stages of all four competitions). A 21-year-old with bags of potential and Champions League experience might be an invaluable addition to the squad of the Premier League runners up.
And with current Vertonghen backup Kevin Wimmer’s Spurs future uncertain, a talented young left footed centre back would be just the ticket for Mauricio Pochettino.
The Sun report suggests PSG would be reluctant to sell, but Foyth’s arrival in the French capital may change their tune.
