The race sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is hotting up this summer with a whole host of Premier League clubs interested – and Tottenham should be considering a move for the Chelsea star, with Harry Kane a big fan.

Hudson-Odoi, 21, was left out of Chelsea matchday squad on Saturday. The England international has clocked up a huge 126 appearances for the Blues already. But he needs to join a club where he is going to play more often.

He has failed to do that at Chelsea. The club have brought in the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic during his breakthrough. The likes of Everton, West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are all interested.

But with Tottenham in the Champions League, and probably in need of another winger following the loss of Steven Bergwijn, Hudson-Odoi would be excellent cover. He can also operate at wing-back, which suits Antonio Conte.

Tottenham should be considering Hudson-Odoi: Kane a big fan

Quoted by Chelsea’s website in 2019, Kane said about Hudson-Odoi: “As an England team, we want that flair and flexibility. It’s a great sign we’re producing these players. Callum has the ability to play at the highest level.”

Tottenham need a player like Hudson-Odoi. Yes, they have Lucas Moura and Richarlison as cover for Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. But another attacker would give them three players to cover the front three.

With the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup all viable chances of winning a trophy alongside the league, Conte needs a big squad. Rotation will be aplenty, especially given the work Conte gets out of his players.

Given Kane is a big fan of Hudson-Odoi, Tottenham should really be one of the clubs in the race for the £120k-a-week Chelsea man. Whether Chelsea would sell to a direct rival remains to be seen, but Tottenham should pursue a move.
