Lyon’s Maxwell Cornet is reportedly a target for Premier League side Fulham in January.

You might have heard that Tottenham did not sign a single player in the summer transfer window. And while Spurs deserve credit for keeping their young squad together, the lack of new faces has perhaps allowed things to become a little stale in North London.
Though with London rivals Fulham seemingly planning a January approach for Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term target Maxwel Cornet, it will be interesting to see how Tottenham react.
According to The Sun, The Cottagers are planning to open talks with Lyon about a potential £18 million January deal for Maxwell Cornet, who proved himself against the very best of English opposition with the winner in last week’s 2-1 Champions League victory away at Manchester City.
Now, The Mirror claim that Tottenham were interested going into the January 2018 window before they brought Lucas Moura to Wembley.

And with the former PSG winger being converted into a central role and with Heung Min-Son proving at times last season that he is more than capable of playing down the middle, perhaps Cornet should be on Pochettino’s radar again with the Ivorian capable of adding more versatility and depth in attack.
And if Tottenham want to push on and compete in Europe and at home, a couple of new additions would freshen up an attack and help avoid fatigue.
