The German would be an excellent addition for Tottenham Hotspur, especially if Rose leaves.

The future of Tottenham Danny Rose still remains up in the air.
Spurs could be willing to sell the 29-year-old for just £20 million this summer, according to the Sun.
The Daily Star, meanwhile, claims that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham for around £25 million.
The Argentine allegedly wants the youngster to perform both left-back and left-wing duties for Tottenham.
Could there be a better option out there for Spurs, however?
Augsburg ace Philipp Max could be available for just £18 million this summer, according to Spanish publication Sport, and in today’s market, that would represent excellent value for Tottenham.
He can play left-back, left-midfield and left-wing
Max, 25, can play in three different positions, making him even greater value for money for the reported fee of just £18 million.
He operates as an attacking full-back most of the time, but can also play further up the pitch, and this would surely appeal to Spurs.
Pace and drive
The three-capped Germany international possesses pace in abundance, and has great energy. This makes him an ideal fit for Pochettino’s high-octane setup at Tottenham.

Tenacious playing style
The Augsburg ace is a really fiery competitor, and he seems to have all of the attributes needed to be a success in the Premier League.
Whilst Max might not be as exciting as Sessegnon, he is certainly already more established than the Fulham youngster, and he might just be a more solid option for Tottenham this summer.
