The Monaco right-back would be an excellent addition for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham fans are beginning to grow frustrated at their club’s lack of transfer business.
Spurs started the summer in great fashion, signing Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, before loaning the latter back to Leeds United.
Things have gone rather quiet since then, however.
Tottenham are still trying to conclude deals for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Daily Star.
One position that really does need strengthening, however, is the right-back department.
Kieran Trippier was sold to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, and Serge Aurier still has a lot to prove.
Juan Foyth, who can fill it at right-back, injured his ankle when playing against Bayern Munich last night, so the signing of another right sided defender might just be what Tottenham need before the transfer window slams shut next week.
And with this in mind, they should consider making a move for Monaco ace Djibril Sidibe.
Pace
The 27-year-old possesses blistering pace. He is also an expert tackler, and his tenacious playing style would make him ideally suited to the intense nature of the Premier League.
Attacking intent
The 18-capped France international is just as useful going forward as he is defensively. His game is built on making tireless runs up and down the right hand flank, and this would see him slot perfectly into Pochettino’s setup at Tottenham.
Availability and experience
With 18 caps for France to his name, and 276 appearances for Monaco, Lille and Troyes under his belt already, Sidibe is vastly experienced.
He is also available for a reasonable price, with France Football reporting that Monaco will be willing to sell him for just €15 million (£13.4 million) this summer.
And that could prove to be an absolute steal for Tottenham.
The Frenchman is top quality, cheap, and he would undoubtedly be an upgrade upon Serge Aurier, Juan Foyth, and Kyle Walker-Peters.
And Pochettino must attempt to bring Sidibe to north London this summer.
