The 29-year-old has been in superb form for Lazio over the past two seasons, racking up an impressive 59 goals and 21 assists in 92 appearances in all competitions, and he would be a superb addition for Tottenham.
The Italy international is most effective when operating in and around the 18-yard box, and he would add a real level of potency to Spurs’ attacking play.
Immobile is a strong centre-forward who can play with his back to goal or off the shoulder of the last defender, and his arrival at Tottenham would undoubtedly help bring out the best in Pochettino’s more technically gifted players.
The Mirror claims that the Lazio hitman could be sold for £45 million, and in today’s day and age, Spurs should look at that as incredibly decent value for money.
The only potential red flag for the north Londoners will be the Italy international’s age. He is set to turn 30 in February next year, and signing him would break the mould of Pochettino’s recent additions.
He really could take Tottenham to another level next season, however, and help them make a more sustained push for the Premier League title.
