Tottenham Hotspur are looking for additions in the final third and Newcastle United are reportedly open to the sale of Allan Saint-Maximin – and having been linked with the Frenchman in the summer, Fabio Paratici should be on red alert.
Spurs do have options in the final third. But injuries of late have hampered their form. Richarlison only returned for the final 20 minutes of Sunday’s loss to Arsenal, while Deki Kulusevski has suffered a number of injuries at times this term.
It has seen Bryan Gil come into the side on occasion. Ivan Perisic has even been used in the final third, alongside Harry Kane. Perisic was signed as a wing-back. Son Heung-min, too, has been injured and his form has seriously dropped off.
So, Spurs need another man in the final third that can make the difference. Perhaps, come in for Son and give him a bit of time on the sidelines – in order to reset. In the summer, the Northern Echo said Spurs were keen on Saint-Maximin.

Clearly, there are admirers at Tottenham of Saint-Maximin. He is a player that can change a game from absolutely nothing. Even this season, his incredible volley against Wolves – or two assists against Manchester City in a 3-3 draw.
Unfortunately for Saint-Maximin, he has been injured and failed to win his place in a Newcastle side that are taking the league by storm, at the moment. As a result, Keith Downie told Give Me Sport that the Toon could sell Saint-Maximin.
A sale could happen this month. So, with Spurs showing previous interest and in need of a Premier League proven star that can change something in the final third, and the Toon willing to let him go – surely, it is a move that could happen.
