Tottenham Hotspur should challenge Arsenal for the Freiburg ace’s signature.
According to a report from the Telegraph, Arsenal are keen on signing Freiburg centre-back Çağlar Söyüncü this summer, but Tottenham should join their north London rivals in the race for his signature.
The 22-year-old is one of the most highly regarded young central defenders on the continent, and he has showcased his outstanding talent on a regular basis in Germany over the past couple of seasons.
He is also relatively experienced despite his tender years, having made 95 career appearances thus far, and he would be a superbly exciting addition to the Spurs squad.

Toby Alderweireld’s future in north London is uncertain to say the least, with the Express reporting that Manchester United are leading the way for the Belgian’s signature.
If the 29-year-old does end up leaving Tottenham, as is expected, Mauricio Pochettino will obviously have to bring in an able-bodied replacement, and Söyüncü could be just the ticket.
The Telegraph claims that the Turkey international is available for around £35 million this summer, and if Spurs mange to garner £50 million plus for Alderweireld, that would surely be considered as fantastic business.
They would also have the added bonus of dealing a severe blow to Arsenal’s transfer plans, by stealing one of their bitter rival’s key targets from their grasp.
And if Pochettino does bring Söyüncü to White hart Lane this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Tottenham.
