Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly on the look-out for some world-class additions this summer.

It seems as though this summer will be a busy one for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

There have already been a handful of outgoings at Spurs, but now the really hard work starts for the Argentine.

The north London outfit have been linked with numerous players already, but two names in particular stand out.

Tottenham are interested in signing £45 million-rated Ajax midfielder Donny Van de Beek, according to the Daily Mail, whilst the Sun reported last week that Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele is a £70 million target for Pochettino.

Whilst many Spurs fans would be happy with just one of those names, the reality is that they actually need both players, if they are to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title next term.

Van de Beek, 22, possesses exceptional technical ability, and with a keen eye for the killer pass, he has the ability to unlock stubborn, well-drilled defences.

Ndombele, meanwhile, is a tenacious ball winner, who is full of energy, and the 22-year-old’s ability to get around the pitch for the entire of the 90 minutes is exactly what Tottenham need, especially after selling Mousa Dembele in January.

Pochettino has the makings of a great side at Spurs, and with the additions of the two aforementioned players, they could really be a force next season.

They won’t come cheap, but in the modern era, you have to pay big money to get players who can take you to another level.

And Van de Beek and Ndombele would certainly do that for Tottenham.
