Tottenham fan Finn Balor won the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Sunday.

WWE are hurtling towards Wrestlemania 35, and Sunday’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view was the latest step towards the biggest show of the year.
Daniel Bryan retained his WWE Championship, whilst Ronda Rousey also kept hold of her Raw Women’s Championship by beating Ruby Riott.
Yet one of the big changes of the night saw Bobby Lashley lose his Intercontinental Championship in shock circumstances against Finn Balor.
Lashley, alongside sidekick Lio Rush, took on Balor in a handicap match, but he could only watch on as Balor pinned Rush to win the title.
Balor now looks set to head into Wrestlemania with the prestigious Intercontinental title around his waist, representing Ireland in the process.
Born in Bray, Balor has forged an incredible path from Ireland to the States via Japan, and he’s retained a love for one football club along the way.

Balor has been a Tottenham fan for many years now, back to the days of Gary Lineker and Paul Gascoigne, whilst he even visited White Hart Lane in 2016 and met Mousa Dembele last season.
After watching him win the Intercontinental Championship, Tottenham took to Twitter to send a message of congratulations to Balor, praising one of their own for his huge achievement.
