The Tottenham Hotspur left-back has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
According to a report from the Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Tottenham ace Danny Rose, with Daniel Levy demanding around £20 million for the left-back.
The 29-year-old was in quite excellent form over the past six months or so, and he has been a superbly consistent performer for Spurs over the last five or six years.
It was only last year when Tottenham were demanding £40 million plus Luke Shaw from Manchester United for Rose’s signature, according to a report from the Sun.
In essence, that would have been worth in excess of £60 million, but Spurs eventually kept the England international.
Rose still has two years remaining on his current deal with Tottenham, and he is still undoubtedly one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.
So selling him for just £20 million this summer would be just so unlike Daniel Levy.
He is well-renowned for being a hard-nosed businessman, who gets the absolute most out of every single deal that he participates in for Spurs.
It could be argued that selling Rose for £20 million would be poor business, however. In today’s market, the Englishman is surely worth double that amount.
And if the 29-year-old does leave Tottenham this summer for the reported £20 million fee, it might be the first time in a very long time where Levy has made somewhat of an error in judgement.
