Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski for a combined fee of €65million (£54million).
That’s according to Sky Italia’s transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Tottenham are now one step away from signing both players.
Both players were signed at Juventus by Fabio Paratici, who is now Tottenham’s transfer chief.
Paratici will now the pair well, but let’s start with Kulusevski.
Tottenham have seemingly pivoted to Kulusevski after seeing Liverpool hijack them in the race for Porto star Luis Diaz.
It’s now stated that Tottenham are on the verge of a deal that would see Kulusevski join on loan.
That deal would then become permanent for €40million (£33million) if Tottenham qualify for the Champions League or if Kulusevski makes a certain number of appearances.
Compared to Kevin De Bruyne, Kulusevski is a creative left-footed winger. The prospect of him joining Son Heung-min and Harry Kane in the front three is very enticing.
Massimiliano Allegri seemingly hasn’t been a fan of Kulusevski, and Juve are now willing to let him go.
Kulusevski will be joined in North London by Juventus midfielder Bentancur, who is ‘determined’ to join Tottenham.

Aston Villa have made an offer for Bentancur, but he wants to sign for Tottenham before Monday’s deadline.
The deal for Bentancur is believed to be worth €25million (£21million), bolstering Antonio Conte’s engine room in the process.
Uruguayan ace Bentancur has been hailed for his ‘truly amazing’ technical ability by teammate Matthijs de Ligt, and that could really help Tottenham build through midfield.
Both players are expected to be in North London very soon, with Tottenham finally on the verge of a transfer success after all.
