Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Romelu Lukaku this summer, and if Spurs hire Antonio Conte, they could form an incredible partnership.
Spurs are reportedly in talks with Conte, and Lukaku is a player who is apparently on their radar.
The former Inter boss got the best out of Lukaku at Inter as the Belgian banged in 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter in his two seasons under the Italian.
Judging by Lukaku’s previous comments, he loved playing under Conte as well.
What has Lukaku said?
Lukaku clearly has a lot of love for his former manager, claiming that he would die for the Tottenham-linked gaffer.
“I would die for Conte,” Lukaku said.
“I wasn’t able to join him at Chelsea (in 2017), but I’d always said I’d played for him as soon as I left Manchester United. Conte told me very directly: ‘If you don’t work in training you won’t play, it’s essential that you know how to play with your back to goal. It’s important to meet people who tell you the absolute truth to help you improve.”

Ready to rip up the Premier League
Romelu Lukaku may have struggled in his final Premier League season at Manchester United, but in his pomp he was one of the division’s top strikers.
The Belgian has over 100 Premier League goals to his name, and if he unites with Conte at Spurs, they could rip up the division.
Lukaku is one of the most gifted goal scorers in Europe, and he’s played the best football of his career under Conte, so if Spurs hire the Italian, bringing Lukaku to north London would be something of a no-brainer.
