Tottenham are reportedly looking to bring Leeds winger Jack Harrison to North London this summer, in a surprise move for the English ace. A player Frank Lampard claimed is one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

Harrison, 25, has gone somewhat under the radar at Leeds for his impressive form since promotion to the Premier League. Over the last two seasons, the ex-New York man has clocked up 63 Premier League outings.

A hard-working winger, Harrison clocked up 36 Premier League out of a possible 38 last term – missing two as he remained on loan from Manchester City. He had a hand in 13 goals, scoring five and laying on eight assists.

This time around, he has still netted five times, and nabbed an assist. Such form has gone largely unnoticed with Raphinha and Dan James impressing. But not at Tottenham, with the Telegraph saying Spurs want Harrison.

Harrison only joined Leeds permanently from Manchester City for £11m (BBC) last term, having spent the first three seasons on loan at Leeds. Lampard, a former New York teammate, has praised Harrison this season.

Lampard told Sky Sports News on February 12: “One of the best wingers in the league, Jack Harrison, when he is playing like he is playing at the moment, and Seamus was spot-on in every way.”

Lampard on Harrison: Hardly a big-name signing, but an important one

Leeds are renowned for being a hard-working team. The likes of Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, even Raphinha are known for their work rate – among other qualities. Harrison is up there in terms of distance covered.

Yes, he scores goals, he creates goals. But he is absolutely brilliant when it comes to working hard. While it would not be a huge signing for Spurs, it would give them cover for Son Heung-min, and cover at left wing-back.
