With Tottenham Hotspur currently in their final season at White Hart Lane, and with their new stadium’s building very much underway next door, there are likely to be a number of interesting developments about the work being done over the next 18 months.

But arguably one of the most exciting pieces of news to have emerged so far is the rumoured design of the player tunnel leading out on to the pitch at the new stadium, which the Hertfordshire Mercury has said will be a unique take on the classic football feature.

The report suggests that ‘tunnel club’ tickets will be available for fans, letting them get closer to the players on match days and offering a restaurant and bar view into the tunnel through glass walls.

Those that purchase such tickets will also have similar seating to that which Mauricio Pochettino and the club staff will use, and will be located just behind the benches. Below is an artist’s impression of how this will look:

Though the idea sounds very interesting and is a very modern approach to the stadium, it is likely the tickets will be considerably more expensive than the standard seat to watch Tottenham play.

There will likely be more information released about this intriguing aspect of the new ground, but until then, Spurs will be rotating their matches between the concrete tunnels of White Hart Lane and Wembley Stadium.
