Michel Vorm: Had no chance with either Juventus goal and diligently tried to play out from the back. 5/10

Kieran Trippier: Failed to get going in an attacking sense and looked shaky on the defensive front. 4/10

Dominic Ball: Was at fault for the first goal and looked unsure in possession. Steadied as the game progressed. 4/10

Cameron Carter-Vickers: Fared slightly better than his defensive counterpart but still looks a raw prospect. 5/10

Will Miller: Played well in an unfamiliar role at left-back; looks tidy on the ball. 6/10

Victor Wanyama: A solid debut from the powerful midfielder. Broke up play well and won the ball to provide the assist for Lamela’s strike. 7/10

Ryan Mason: Another all too anonymous performance from the 25-year old. Will struggle to see much game time next season. 4/10

Heung-Min Son: Spurs fans are expecting a lot more from the South Korean in his second year but he had zero impact on this game and needs to improve. 3/10

Tom Carroll: Failed to stamp his mark on the game in the number ten role. Another who will struggle to feature in the coming campaign. 4/10

Nacer Chadli: Offered absolutely nothing in the 45 minutes he featured in. Needs to provide more if he is to stick around for much longer. 3/10

Vincent Janssen: Not the debut he would have hoped for. Starved of service in the first half and couldn’t make the ball stick too often. Showed some promising movement however. 5/10

Harry Winks: Offered far more than Carroll and Mason with a busy and direct performance. Could be one to emerge next season. 7/10

Joshua Onomah: Another youngster who outshone the senior players. Got far more involved than Chadli or Son managed to. 6/10

England's Marcus EdwardsEngland’s Marcus Edwards

Erik Lamela: The driving force behind Spurs’ mini-revival after his introduction at half-time. Took his goal well and could have had more. Expect a big season from the Argentinian. 8/10 MOTM

Anton Walkes: Filled in at right-back and then centrally. Didn’t have much chance to impress. 5/10

Shayon Harrison: Had a couple of chances he will be disappointed not to have put away. Showed good movement though. 5/10

Marcus Edwards: Showed glimpses of why there is such hype around him. Excellent close control and great vision. One to watch. 7/10
