Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are determined to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus in the January transfer window and are pressing ahead with their interest in the USA international midfielder, according to Tuttosport.

The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Tottenham are keen on bringing McKennie to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the middle of the season.

Contacts between Tottenham and the midfielder’s entourage ‘are increasing through intermediaries’, according to the report.

Tottenham head coach Conte and the Premier League club’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, are big admirers of the 24-year-old American star, according to the report.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has also been impressed by McKennie, telling The Sun last week that he is “strong on the ball and also has a few tricks up his sleeve”.

The Juventus star is playing for the USA at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Weston McKennie from Juventus?

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus the January transfer window.

Italian giants Juventus are going through a tough period at the moment.

As reported by BBC Sport, the entire board of Juventus, including president Andrea Agnelli, resigned on Monday.

The former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners made a loss £220 million last season, according to the report.

Things are not going well on the pitch for Juve either, with the team as many as 10 points behind leaders Napoli.

Tottenham would fancy their chances of signing McKennie in January if they made a tempting offer to the American midfielder and to Juventus.
