Tottenham are reportedly plotting to swoop for two Serie B talents in Genoa duo Radu Dragusin and Morten Frendrup, with Fabio Paratici keen to sign the two wonderkids from the Italian side.

According to Serie B News, Fabio Paratici will use the 2022 FIFA World Cup break as an opportunity to scout players from his native homeland of Italy, with Serie B still going ahead alongside other lower leagues around Europe as the sports best descend upon Qatar for a month.

As per the report, Dragusin and Frendrup are both ‘highly-talented’ youngsters who have drawn attention to themselves at Genoa this season, with the former, 20-year-old centre-back who is already playing for Romania’s national team, actually owned by Juventus, with the latter a 21-year-old Danish youth international.

Dragusin is an interesting case as Tottenham actually tried to sign the defender back in 2021 as reported by CalcioMercato, and whilst the north London side missed out that time, it appears that Paratici is looking to make another swoop for the Juventus talent this January, with Frendrup to boot.

Indeed, the duo would be welcome additions to Tottenham’s squad given that Antonio Conte could do with some young blood in the senior team. Particularly in central defence and midfield, something that Dragusin and Frendrup would provide.

Whilst it might take some convincing from Genoa and Juventus to sign both Dragusin and Frendrup, Paratici’s connections with the Italian giants make him the perfect man to get a double deal over the line, and these signings for Tottenham could be excellent building blocks for the future.

Conte has done well in terms of transfers since returning to the Premier League last year. Yet aside from Dejan Kulusevski, no young signing is yet to really take Tottenham by storm, yet that could once again chance with the arrivals of Dragusin and Frendrup.

After all, the Genoa duo have impressed for the Italian side this season, and whilst the pair are still some way off from playing Premier League football, Tottenham signing Dragusin and Frendrup would be a great step in the right direction in building for the future of the club.
