Tottenham’s Harry Kane celebrates scoring their second goal with team mates
Tottenham Hotspur coasted into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win away at London rivals Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
After losing 2-0 and 1-0 to Liverpool and Gent respectively last week, Spurs desperately needed a result to bounce back and pick up some momentum again.
They got just what they wanted against Championship side Fulham, as Harry Kane opened the scoring, sliding the ball home from close range having been picked out by Christian Eriksen.
The same combination struck again after half time as Eriksen crossed for Kane to turn the ball into the net, and Kane grabbed his hat-trick by running onto Dele Alli’s pass and calmly slotting into the net.
Three goals and a clean sheet will have come as a major boost for manager Mauricio Pochettino after a tough week, and the win has set up a quarter-final clash with League One side Millwall at White Hart Lane.
Whilst the focus now turns to Thursday’s return leg against Gent, Spurs players have been taking to Twitter to celebrate Sunday’s thumping win over Fulham.

Dele Alli congratulated Kane on his three goals, with Victor Wanyama happy with a ‘great team performance’ at Craven Cottage, whilst Mousa Dembele admitted it was nice to return to his former club.
Defender Jan Vertonghen celebrated returning from injury, and Harry Winks – who enjoyed a superb game – praised the support from the travelling Tottenham fans.
